Before You Begin

Who may apply

Applications are accepted from students and their legal guardians. Applicants should be able to demonstrate:

  • An extraordinary intellectual spark or a deep spiritual maturity.
  • Circumstances that have acted as a genuine ceiling — financial difficulties, geographic isolation, family tragedy, or societal marginalisation.
  • Evidence of already having begun to break through those circumstances.

Questions

Frequently asked

Who can apply?

Any child who fits our definition of an Emergent: an extraordinary intellectual spark or deep spiritual maturity, capped by circumstances such as financial difficulties, geographic isolation, family tragedy, or societal marginalisation.

What does a scholarship actually cover?

It depends on the tier awarded. The Lumina Scholarship covers 100% of tuition, supplies, a laptop allowance, and a monthly stipend for food and housing. The Catalyst Scholarship covers 50–75% of tuition, paid directly to the school or university.

Is the review process anonymous?

Yes. Names, genders, and locations are removed before the Board of Trustees scores an application. Financial vetting is handled by a separate compliance team with no visibility into the academic or psychological files.

Will my name or photo ever be made public?

No, not without your explicit, counselled consent. We use composite case studies or pseudonyms — such as “Scholar Alex” — to protect every scholar’s dignity and safety.

What happens if my grades slip after I am awarded a scholarship?

Funding is not immediately cancelled. A Safety-Net Protocol is triggered: a dedicated senior mentor and psychologist are assigned, a recovery plan is designed, and funding continues through a supported probation period, with progress reviewed at the semester’s end.

Is my family’s financial information kept confidential?

Yes. Access to applicant dossiers is strictly partitioned — the selection panel cannot view financial files, and financial auditors cannot view personal or psychological records. Financial documents are destroyed twelve months after a student exits the programme.
